Water and moisture resistant MDF boards are a new type of MDF product offered by VIR MAXPRO (HDFWR), which is intended specifically for high humid situations. This product, unlike typical MDF boards, can endure wetness and dampness in the spaces. Kitchen cupboards, laundry cupboards, shelves, bathroom vanities, architectural mouldings, architraves and other areas are ideal for the product.

Moisture Resistant MDF boards are more cost-effective, durable and moisture-resistant than natural wood products. This MDF type meets European standards EN 622-1 and EN 622-5 and is suited for use in humid environments. The product is made up of a combination of wood fibres, wax, resins and other materials that provide reliable protection against water and moisture penetration. It has the same effortlessly elegant and smooth finish as traditional MDF. Moisture resistant boards are usually (but not always) coloured green for identification purposes. There is no risk of bacteria forming in the boards because the product is easy to clean and maintain. VIR MDF offers a wide range of seamless, beautiful and long-lasting MDF products.
